Tri-Fold

In this assignment we had to create a trifold for an event or place. I chose to make my Tri-fold about the Space Needle. I got a good a grade on this one so i figure i didn't do that bad. This wasn't made in photoshop, I used InDesign for this one. All that text is about the history of the Space Needle. The rest is a map and address with a registration form to recieve more info. please don't use the registration form because i made it up and it isn't real.

Ugly Peepling

This assignment was about Peeps. Those little marshmallow things covered in a layer of sugar. They usually come in Pink and yellow and are in the shape of bunnies or duck-like things. Well I used the Ugly duckling and just changed the picture of the Ugly Duck to a Pink Peep. Yeah it was sort of rushed so it didn't turn out so good.

Red Vs. Blue

This is something I made that i thought looked pretty cool. I called it Red Vs. Blue.

To create the red and blue balls i went to filter>Render>clouds and than >filter>distort>spherize. I put the Spherize on max and than cut out the center ball. I just changed the colors and added the white lines to look like the balls were "cracked" or "shattered."

Silk Screen

This assignment we were only allowed to use 4 colors because that is the number of colors you can use when your silk screening a design onto a shirt. I found this picture of a Phoenix but it was all pink and purple so i decided to change that to something that seemed more appropriate. For some reason the colors won't show up anymore....

Greeting Card

This assignment we had to creat a greeting card like a happy birthday or mother's day card. I chose to do mine on Christmas. I just put some pictures on the front and on the inside I used a funny poem I found about a snowman.

Film Festival

One last poster for school. This one was for the Film Festival. I tried to make it look like a film strip ( with the black border along the outside). Once again this design wasn't picked but Carl's was (check my links for Carl's Blog). That was pretty cool because Carl put a picture of me on his poster and now it's hanging up all over the school.

Battle of the Bands

This is another poster i had to creat to advertise an event at school, The Battle of the Bands. Of course my poster wasn't picked, no surprise. This was the same technique used to create the Art Expo poster. Something to do with Threshold. If you want to make some parts show up a bit clearer it really helps to use the burn tool. That's what i used on the amps in the back.

B Movie Poster

For those of you who don't know what a B-Movie is... the term B movie originally referred to a motion picture made on a low or modest budget and intended for distribution as the less-publicized (wikipedia.com). Note: this poster was made to look kinda stupid. And that soccer player in the background is David Beckham for those of you who don't know. And the two asian people who are supposed to look scared (doesn't really look like it) are Thao and Peter.

Art Expo

Our class had to come up with a picture that they would display on t-shirts to advertise the Shorecrest Art Expo. Yeah I know a tiger doesn't really have anything to do with art but I thought it would look pretty cool on a t-shirt.

Nike Vapors Ad

This is another advertisement. This time i chose to make it about the cleats i wear. I basically added the stands in the background and the steam coming off the shoes and than blurred everything. I put in the Nike logo and the phrase was the actual advertisement on Nike.com.

Ipod Ad

This assignment was pretty fun, we had to create an Ipod Advertisement. The dude is just a picture of a b-boy doing a nike, it's called a nike because your legs make the swoop shape of the nike logo. I turned him black and changed the background color. And than i gave him the shadow, pasted in the Ipod Nano (i made it a nano because i own one), and drew in the headphones.

Shinhwa CD

In this assignment we had to make a CD cover and backside. The design had to be abstract-ish. The group on the CD is actually a group and all the song info is also true.

Comic Cartoon

This one is a bit different, it's a picture we took during class. Actually it's two pictures and i had to put it together. We're supposed to be doing a "thoughtful" pose. XP. I turned it into a cartoon style thing and gave them a thought bubble. The one on the right is me. -.-"

I changed the color cause i didn't really like the one they had in the tutorial. It came out alright, not exactly the same as the one in the tutorial but i like it better. XD

Blue Flower thing

This is one of the first things i did, besides trying out some text affects. I thought it it look pretty cool. Kinda reminds of a flower. I used this tutorial and than just changed the color at the end:
